Since the building was completed in 2007, the Ernsting Foundation Alter Hof Herding has been responsible for a varied program at the konzert theater coesfeld. The foundation thus took on the challenge of taking the cultural offerings in the region to a larger dimension.
The artistic program reflects the foundation's funding objectives: events with outstanding artists, especially young talents in the performing arts, enrichment of the cultural offerings in Coesfeld and the surrounding area as well as support for the local and regional cultural scene. The result is an excellent and varied cultural program. The foundation supports the continuous further development of the house with a view to changing audience interest, attractiveness for the performing artists and ensembles as well as modern technical equipment.
The Ernsting Foundation Alter Hof Herding is looking for a "Management and Program Director (m/f/d)" in full-time in Coesfeld, initially for a limited period of 5 years, starting in autumn 2025. An extension will be sought.
Your tasks:
You will be responsible for the program of the konzert theater coesfeld and can rely on the cooperation of a small team. The overarching management tasks include in particular the content and strategic orientation of the programme, the design of personnel and organizational matters as well as the representation of the house in public and in the cultural scene as well as reporting to the foundation board.
This results in the following tasks in detail:
Conception and further development of the program of the house
Planning, conception and implementation of an imaginative event program with a high quality standard
Budget planning and control
Contract negotiation and management as well as supervision of contract awards
Personnel management and development
Responsibility for communication, public relations and marketing
Activities to promote the program
Maintaining and building networks with artists and agencies
Contributing to the preservation and maintenance of the building complex
You are a strong communicator and team-oriented leader with relevant professional experience who is able to continuously develop the konzert theater coesfeld with strong content ideas and impulses and further raise its profile as a cultural beacon in the region. You have a flair for artistic excellence, an openness for artistic commitment in the region and are enthusiastic about working with young talent and cultural participation. Their interdisciplinary and audience-oriented way of thinking and working is combined with a hands-on mentality.
What you bring to the table:
A relevant university degree, preferably in cultural management, Performing Arts or comparable qualification
Professional and management experience in a cultural organization with budget responsibility
Knowledge and experience in personnel management
