Piano teacher (m/f/d) for the Institute for Singing and Music Theater at the Franz Liszt School of Music

The Institute of Voice and Music Theater at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar is offering a
teaching position (m/f/d)

for the
summer semester 2025 in the subjects 

Piano Accompaniment for Scenic Teaching and
Piano Accompaniment for Vocal Studies

with a maximum of 8.75 teaching hours. 8.75 teaching hours.

People with a teaching assignment have a legal relationship under public law with the Free State of Thuringia and work on a freelance or part-time basis. The teaching assignment does not constitute an employment contract or civil servant relationship.

The teaching rehearsals and personal interviews take place in Weimar/Belvedere. Travel expenses will not be covered.

Please submit only copies and refrain from sending audio recordings, DVDs or similar (references to artistic presentations on the Internet are welcome), as the documents will be destroyed after
the teaching assignment has been awarded.

Tasks include:

• Correpetition and accompaniment in main subject lessons, at auditions, examinations, concerts, competitions within and outside the university

• Development and rehearsal of musical works with students in the scenic area

• Correpetition in scenic lessons and in music theater projects

Prerequisites for the teaching position are:

• A university degree (Master's/Diploma) in piano, conducting, opera correpetition or equivalent

• Pedagogical aptitude, proven by relevant practical experience in teaching (conservatory/music school)

• Extensive knowledge of repertoire and sight-reading skills
