Synopsis:
1984: Due to her mother's strict upbringing, young Luci feels emotionally alone and misunderstood. In protest, she develops kleptomania and starts stealing small objects. An encounter with a mysterious street musician and the theft of his Walkman raises a seemingly unsolvable question of guilt, which Luci desperately tries to make amends for ten years later.
"Dead Timbre" is a musical journey through the mind of its protagonist. This subtle youth drama captivates with its raw intimacy, dark soundscape and nostalgic atmosphere of the 80s and 90s.

Actress 1: Luci, age 12-15 years, female, 8 days of shooting.
Requirements: Since there are no dialog scenes, convincing body language and facial expressions are sufficient. You carry the first half of the movie as the main character and take the audience on your journey through Luci's youth. Piano experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
In 1984, 13-year-old Luci is an introverted but self-confident piano student. She is ambitious, especially in her passion for music. Due to her difficult relationship with her mother, who emotionally abuses Luci in her pursuit of perfection, she often feels lonely. As an outlet for her frustration, she develops kleptomania. Luci's character develops significantly over the course of the life phases portrayed in the film.
Actress 2: Luci (old) Age 23-28 years, female, 10 days of shooting
Requirements: Since there are no dialog scenes, you need expressive, authentic acting in body language and facial expressions. You will carry the second half of the movie as the main character and take the audience on a journey through Luci's emotional journey through her youth. Experience playing the piano, guitar or drums is an advantage.
In 1994, 23-year-old Luci has moved on, but is still haunted by her past. As a musician, she has dedicated herself to the classical guitar. But she remains lonely and continues to search for understanding. To find it, she must once again confront her past.
Actor 3: Street musician, age 30-45, male, 2 days of filming. Requirements: Must be able to play the guitar. Scene: The street musician plays guitar in an old town and then succumbs to his illness while waiting in a laundromat.
Actor 4: Single boy, age 10-13, male, 1 day of filming. The boy waits lonely and insecure in a laundromat, where he finds a Walkman that has been left behind.
